I love Summer!

So i know its been a long time since i have posted anything, im sorry i am a slacker! so here is whats been going on, I have officially passed level 3 of the nursing program and i am now a level 4 nursing student which means i only have one semester left! yay! i graduate this upcoming december i am so excited!

Me and jesse have added a new member to our family! we got a puppy and her name is Roxy! she is a hound, terrier mix, and the cutest dog ever i love her so much!! she can be a little devil sometimes, but she is still a puppy so we hope she grow out of it! :)

So jesse and i have just been working lots, Gandolfo's is going well, its still kinda slow but he has high hopes for the summer! other than work, the first week of may, i went to California with a bunch of my nursing classmates, we stayed in LA, and the main part of our trip is when we went to the PRICE IS RIGHT!!! it was so awesome! we made shirts that said drew pick me, i may be your nurse someday! it was so surreal, i told myself im not going to get all excited and act like an idiot like most people do on the show but its insane how exicting it is, we had one of our friends get called up, Alysha, it was awesome, once they called her name, everyone freaked out! haha so yeah she got called up, and she got on stage, she won a brandnew computer, 40 in plasma tv, and an ipod, it was pretty sweet! it was so fun! i suggest if you are ever in LA you need to go to the price is right!

we also went to Hollywood, the Beach, i ate sushi for the first time and found out that i am allergic to crab, yeah that was fun, my lips got all swollen and my throat got all itchy, it was scarry. but i lived. we also went to six flags, and just had so much fun! i want to go back!

Lets see what else have we been up to? well we have a new calling in church, we just got called to be CTR 5 primary teachers. so we teach the 5 and 6 year olds. which is really fun, im enjoying it so much!

So we have been really really busy, jesse is managing the Gandolfos down here, im busy with school which i am loving this semester, its all about mother adn baby which is what i want to go into. :) i had my first clinical last week and i was in the NICU which was amazing i loved it! so here is some good fun news, my parents bought a twin home down here adn we are going to be renting it from them, its a 3 bed/2bath house with a 2 car garage and back yard, we move in at the end of the month and we are so so so excited!!! well i will update more later!

So i just want to say that i have passed ALL of my classes! yay i am officially half way done with the nursing program and i will be moving on to level three next semester! im so very happy, excited and relieved that this semester is over, for it was the semester from hell. but it done and im so glad! yay!!!!

Life Frustrations

Sorry its been a while since we have posted anything. School has been kicking my butt lately, i have had 3 midterms 3 weeks in a row, they are all ATI test, which are computerized and 40% of our grade. I failed my first one (along with 13 others) and our teachers and director decided to tell us its because we dont study enough, and that maybe we shouldn't be in the program. well that is bull! i have basically lived at the library this past month, i haven't seen my husband in a long time! we tried to talk to the director of the program and our teach the ask what we could do to help us get past these test, and how to pass the class ( that test bumped me from a b+ to a C-) because there are at least 6 of us now in jeopardy of failing and having to repeat the class, they basically said to bad, study harder.

im so frustrated right now because im giving 110% and to have my teacher tell me i dont study enough is a slap to the face. the reason so many of us failed is that our teach doesnt teach us what we need to know. also they expect us to past these test when we have only covered 50 % of the material, basically our midterm was a final. so yeah i might have to redo the class next semester and i have finally come to grips with that, it will just be really humiliating to be the dumb one who couldn't pass stupid med surg!So i have taken two of my midterms, i went to take my last one this friday and the computers were down so it has been moved to next week, which would be fine, but i have a pharmacology test that week to and clinicals, so im really stressed out and anxiety ridden. but i just keep going one day at a time.

So that is my school story and the causes of my stress, but we have even more crap happening to us. Jesse just lost his job, because the company he worked for just decided to go out of buisness, and not tell anyone. so we got a call this week that jesse is out of a job, so now were are scrounging anywhere to find a job, and its an impossible task to do in cedar because you have to know people to get jobs here. and then today we find out that our last paycheck has bounced! and we can't get ahold of anyone to get it fixed so now we are in even bigger financial trouble because we can't afford to pay our bills right now. so life just sucks for us, we are doing our best, we have been paying our tithing so we are just praying that things will work out. as for school, im just studying more and more and crossing my fingers i pass.

A few weekends ago we went up north to visit Jesse's sister Chelsea and her Husband Andrew. it was a lot of fun, we played Settlers of Catan, which i definantly won a game, and im pretty sure chelsea did too! yeah take that tidwells! :) we also ate amazing homemade cafe rio food, and ate really good food julie made! so here are some pictures of che che and andrew!

My first IV!

So its been a while, so i will catch you all up on what has been going on lately.

last week i passed off my first IV stick! woot woot, it took pictures of christy and taryn getting theirs but i forgot to get a picture of when i finally got mine! sad i know.

So besides getting my first IV started, school has been just as crazy as ever, i have been voted to be the SNA president! so thats pretty cool, that stands for Student Nursing Association. so i get to do fundraisers and work on getting trips set up. i think it going to be lots of fun.

well last weekend we went up north so that we could see chelsea and andrew, which was really fun, we played lots of settlers! and im proud to say that i definantly won a game! we also went bowling with jesse's friend mark, which was fun. then we had a birthday dinner for jesse's brother ben. but yeah nothing to big has been going on, but i will try to keep you all more updated!

School is starting!

So school starts on Monday, and i am just a little nervous, i think it will be a great semester, but really hard. i hope i remember all the stuff from last semester. ugh there is so much to know! haha

So Jesse found a job this past week, which is really great, because now i get to have him be with me all the time, and dont have to do the long commuting thing anymore. he is going to be working at the Gandolfos down in Cedar City, so not much of a change from what he was doing this summer, but they are going to pay him pretty well, and hopefully work him alot!

So yeah other than that we are back in our old apartment in cedar, and it is now clean and completley unpacked, yes it only took a year, but i finally made myself unpack the last few boxes that we had. so now everything is in order and our apartment looks alot better. except for the heat! i feel like im going to die! we dont have AC or a swamp cooler in our place so its like living in a sauna! i can't wait for the cold to come back!
