Job Interview!

So this has been a crazy stressful week! first my dog chewed up my phone, and then all day yesterday people from my class were getting calls for interviews down at Dixie, and i was freaking out because my phone wasn't working so how were they going to contact me? well lucky they emailed me and i have an interview for the Dixie Regional Medical Center Residency program Tomorrow at 11am! i am so excited but also so nervous, its a group interview because they got so many applicants, im worried i wont stand out i just don't know what to do im freaking out i really want this, but im afraid they wont like me. ahh what to do! so everyone if you will pray for me and keep me in your thoughts and send me good vibes that would be awesome!!

ps this is my last week of class crazy!!!

Im going to miss you little brother!

So my little brother Austin left on his mission today :( its a bitter sweet day, i know he is doing the right thing and will be a great missionary, but i know im going to miss him so much! we were always so close and got a long well, but he is going to have a great experience and i can write to him. so i guess i will live.

on a happier note, i was in Phoenix this past weekend and can i tell you how much i love Phoenix, i have never been before, and i just fell in love with the city, i cant wait to go back! so i was in phoenix for the mid year NSNA confrence, it is a confrence for nursing students. it was a good time not as great as i had expected it, but i had a lot of fun. we got to see the site of phoenix, went to the zoo, and just had a blast. i learned some good things for school and got to talk to some recruiters which helped me feel more comfortable for appying for jobs.

oh and graduation is 4 weeks away! its so scary and exciting, i feel and know i have so much to do still, but i can't wait to be done with school!

I'm feeling Crafty!

So i went up north last weekend to see my family, and me, my mom and aunts went to a craft fair where i saw this awesome booth that sold very cute head bands. well there was one with some feathers on it, that i just fell in love with. but since i can't wait till christmas ;) i decided to make my own, so here are some pics of the feather headbands i made! i just love them!

ps. i only have one month left of school! yay its so crazy i can't believe im almost done! i can start applying for jobs now which is awesome and scary.

Quick Update

Hey guys sorry its been a while, i wanted to wait and post pictures of what we have been up to, but i broke my camera so no pictures sorry. :( well school is still crazy as ever, i just finished up my preceptor on Sunday which was a great experience im glad i had the opportunity to follow and nurse around and have a great mentor teach me. so now that that is over i get to do 8 shifts in the ER, ICU, NICU, ect. this will be an adventure i just know it.

Jesse has found a new activity he loves down here, he has been going shooting like twice a week, he has his dads old 22 rifle and he loves going shooting when ever he can, but that means now he really wants a shotgun, and a pistol. so at least i know something to get him for christmas :)

for all my family and friends that dont already know, my little brother Austin got his mission call about a month ago! he will be serving in the Columbia South Carolina mission! he leaves Nov, 4th, 2009. i am so excited and proud of my little brother, i know he is doing a great thing adn will be an amazing missionary!

I can't wait to be a nurse!

So this is just a quick update, so school has started and it is going well, classes are not as crazy as they have been in the past. lots of busy work but that"s to be expected. so this last week i was able to start my preceptor. for those of you who don't know what this is, it is like an internship, i get paired up with a nurse and follow them around, basically doing there job and having them mentor and evaluate me. I must say that i am LOVING this! I have been paired up with 2 nurses, who both are amazing! i am learning so much and am finally feeling like a real nurse. I can't wait to get back to the hospital and finish my shifts! i just love the feeling of helping people, and being able to make there life a little easier. I can't wait to be graduated and to be doing this for the rest of my life!

Update on our busy lives!

So i know its been forever since we have posted anything, we have been really busy, work has been kinda crazy having 2 people leave so me and jesse have been working lots. well here is a quick update of whats been going on.

on the 24th of july weekend we were able to go up north and spend some time with my family, we went boating, it was so much fun, except for the part where jesse got fried! he burnt his feet so bad he couldn't wear shoes for a while, he is finally just getting over the burn! lets see were learned that roxy loves boating and tubing!

two weekends ago we were lucky enough to have tad, sarah and paisley come visit us! it was only for the weekend but well worth it, we took paisley swimming, then went to dinner adn we babysat paisley while tad and sarah went to a shakespearean play. i love paisley! i had so much fun with her. me sarah and paisley went shopping saturday which was really fun and we both got some cute things. then of course we played settlers that night!

well this weekend is my last weekend before i head back to school, and what is a better way to end the summer than to spend it with your family. we are going up north to visit jesse's family because his sister chelsea is coming to town, jesse is really excited, and of course i am too, its been a long time since i have seen chels and its going to be a great weekned i know it!!!!!

So on the last note this is my last semester of school! i will be an official college graduate in december! im so freaken excited!! i can't wait to be done with the nursing school and to finally get a real job doing what i love!

Happy Birthday Jesse!!!

I know that is really late, but on June 28th, jesse turned the big 24! :) we did a lot of fun stuff for his birthday, since his birthday was on a sunday and we have church at 9am, i decided to make jesse his breakfast birthday on saturday. i made him blueberry pancakes, with magelby's syrup (which is amazing!) this was at jesse's request. they turned out really yummy. after breakfast we threw on our swimsuits, and grabbed roxy and headed to Kanarraville to hike to the falls. it was a really fun hike, Jesse had never been on this hike before so i enjoyed taking him on it. Roxy really enjoyed it too, until we got to the water part. haha. after the hike we headed home to clean up then drove down to Mongolian BBQ in St. George adn had some yummy dinner, this is probably one of jesse's favorite resturants. well after a long fun day we went home and watched a movie. The next day on his official birthday, he got sang to in primary! :) which he loved, then after church i went to work on his cake, I wanted to make is special so i put food coloring in the batter, which turned out really cool, then i decorated it so it looked like the batman symbol, which turned out awesome, i am really impressed with this cake. haha jesse loved it and i wouldn't let him see it until it was done, he had no idea i was going to make it look like batman! so for dinner we had homemade tacos and cake. it was awesome!

This last weekend, my best friend Carolyn came down to visit, it was a lot of fun, i set her up with my friend mike, we hung out all weekend, on friday we made hobo dinners up the canyon, then came back to our place and watched a movie. On saturday me and care drove down to st. george where we did a lot of shopping, which was great, i have missed having a shopping buddy. when we got back we jumped into our suits grabbed jesse and mike and headed to the Meadow Hot Springs. it had been 2 years since i had been so i was nervous about finding the right spot, well come to find out i didn't exatly remember how to get there, haha we ended up driving around for like 2 hours, then we decided to head home, but as we were heading back i saw the turn off, we had drove right past it. i felt like a dummy, but it ended up being a blast, and well worth the adventures we had finding it. :) after hanging out at the hot springs we headed home, and stopped at dennys at 3am and had breakfast! Im so glad Care got to come visit, i have really missed my best friend! This has been a good summer so far.
